CARMEL VALLEY

Carmel Valley is a charming neighborhood located about 20 miles north of Downtown San Diego and east of Del Mar, slightly inland from the ocean and Interstate 5. It offers a lot of nearby attractions especially for nature lovers, and boasts great schools. Carmel Valley was built so its residents could enjoy the region’s natural beauty. Built within a mesa, the community offers a number of parks with gorgeous views of the area’s amazing landscape. The majority of homes in the area were built between 2000 and today meaning they tend to feature luxurious amenities, such as pools, hot tubs, and energy-efficient features.

If you love hiking or being out in nature, this area has a lot to offer. Spanning 7 miles, Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve Trail is one of the largest urban parks in the United States. No matter what type of landscape you love, there’s something for everyone. The nearby Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve offers some of San Diego’s most beautiful trails and beaches, while you can also take in ocean views of Del Mar. A short drive along El Camino Real brings you to restaurants, retail stores, equestrian centers and country clubs.
